Hendrik Jan van Beek (The Hague, June 14, 1958) is a Dutch photographer.

Hendrik Jan van Beek Already in its sixteenth he already on his Puch by Piet Wiegers in Amersfoort wedding photography and portraits. When he was 18 he did this by Gerard Boekhorst in Utrecht. He photographed many people he met on the street, and the people really wanted to capture as they are.

After his service he was a photographer in Myosotis in Baarn, where he was a good teacher in Remmelt of Heerde and Bram Dorland. He made a lot of record covers and book covers. He also photographed in the studio many artists who came to the Netherlands to promote their plates. After three years he wanted a different side of the photography in practice and went into the pupil of Cees Broekhuijsen in Amersfoort. His great inspiration was Ed van der Elsken, especially the book Eye love you.

Here he did much architecture and advertising photography for major clients such as Aegon insurance. At its twenty-sixth he started for himself with much support from his old mentor Cees Broekhuijsen. For the Hells Angels in Amsterdam in 1996 he had the honor to create a calendar. This is regarded by many as one of his masterpieces. His passion for Harleys and photography were here to borrowing.
